The idea of Marlborough Lavender was born some years ago when we had a passion for collecting antique perfume bottles, some of which contained lavender waters.

With a love of gardening and the outdoors, along with the desire for a change of lifestyle. Marlborough Lavender was created.

We searched and found our ideal block of land in the Waihopai Valley, Marlborough, researched what varieties of lavender we wanted to begin with for various purposes eg: dried, oil, culinary etc.  We began planting in 1998 and built a home to compliment the lavender and the landscape.

We take immense pride in all we produce and are proud to say our lavender is New Zealand grown and our plants are sprayfree.

The knowledge we have gained on our lavender journey is vast and is a constant learning process with new developments all the time.
